On your way out of the main gate of the Castillo del Papa Luna, the first thing that catches your eye is the Faro (lighthouse), a typical seafaring style building whose light is used to guide sailors at night. The Faro’s signal has a reach of 35 miles and the present building dates from 1892. The Faro is one of the most emblematic buildings in the film ‘Calabuch’, shot in Peñíscola in 1956 by Luis García Berlanga. From Faro you will have a splendid view of the Castillo del Papa Luna and the Mediterranean Sea. Source: peniscola.es
